Summer Solstice Celebration
SUNDAY JUNE 22 4PM Idyllwild’s annual celebration of the Summer Solstice Honoring the Wonder of Mother Earth
Observe the change of the seasons with music, community, and great food. The Local Color Choir will be adding their color through their lovely music. There will be readings of poetry. Please bring finger foods to share after the our Celebration. Children are welcome.
It will all be happening in the garden (under the parachute) at Spirit Mountain.

The last few years of worldwide pandemic, wars, politics, and all of the other craziness in the world have been a big trigger for lots of people who have experienced trauma.
We believe that it really helps to be able to talk about it and remind ourselves that we are not alone.
A number of you have requested this possibility - so here it is!
This virtual mini-retreat/support group is for women vets who have attended retreats at Spirit Mountain or who plan to attend in the future.

NEW MOON DRUM CIRCLE
WEDNESDAY JUNE 25 6PM The energy of the new moon helps people grow spiritually as they seek out the moon’s healing energy.
When it comes to the spiritual aspects of the new moon, many people participate in new moon rituals where they may meditate on their personal desires, dreams and intentions. The new moon is rich with symbolism and it represents a time of great self-awareness where hopes and visions for the future can be manifested.

Idyllwild Songwriters Festival
July 12, 2025 Debuts of co-writes from the week will once again be presented during the Idyllwild Songwriters Festival free outdoor public event, benefitting the work of the Idyllwild Help Center.
The mission of the festival is to promote original singer songwriters and wider awareness of Idyllwild as an arts community and destination.

Idyllwild Listening Room Songwriting Retreat
July 6-12, 2025 Writers at all levels of development, from first timers to pros, are welcome to experience ‘Community Through Co-Writing’ amidst the high mountain pines of Idyllwild, California during the July 6-12 Idyllwild Listening Room Songwriting Retreat at Spirit Mountain.
(Housing and meals booked separately by participants to provide greater budgeting flexibility. Housing assistance available upon request. Interest free monthly payments available.)
All Listening Room Retreats are facilitated by founder and internationally acclaimed songwriter Brett Perkins, past C.E.O. of the National Academy of Songwriters and Publisher of SongTalk magazine, whose voice and songs appear on numerous commercial releases, films, television placements.

Please join on Sunday, May 25th, as we set our outdoor events season into motion with an enthralling evening of poetry and music, co-hosted by Speakeasy Books and curated by Nicole Disson.
Celebrated poets Jaqueline Suskin and Mandy Kahn will give readings from their newest collections in the garden at Spirit Mountain. Book signings will proceed next door in the Collective's courtyard, with a musical set by songwriter Jenny O., after hours food provided by Raven Hill and specialty cocktails by Ferro.
Reclaiming Beauty as a Touchstone of Courage
Writing and meditation retreat with Katya Williamson, MFA
May 16-18, 2025
Idyllwild, CA
This retreat will offer simple writing exercises and meditative sessions to help restore our courage in these chaotic times. We will utilize the books “Beauty: The Invisible Embrace, Rediscovering the True Sources of Compassion, Serenity and Hope” by John O’Donohue, and “The Heart of Democracy,” by Parker J. Palmer to enliven our sessions meeting in a larger circle, small groups and one on one gatherings.
